12 Hour Paediatric Course

 

Course Overview

 

This course is designed for people who work with children. It meets the criteria stated by Surestart and the Pre-School Learning Alliance and is endorsed by Ofsted and Early Years. On completion of this course you will be issued with a signed certificate that is valid for three years. Subjects covered can be tailored to the client's specific requirements with sufficient notice.

Included in the price of this course: workbook, Paediatric first aid manual, face shield and certificate.

• Introduction

• First aid the initial approach and dealing with an unconscious casualty

• Child and infant resuscitation

• Asphyxia. choking and asthma

• Shock, bleeding and wounds

• Fractures, dislocations, sprains and strains

• Spinal and head injuries

• Common medical conditions and immunisation

• Burns, scalds and poisons

• Course debrief and closure
