2 Day First Aid at Work Refresher

 

Course Overview

 

This course taken every three years covers the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and is the Re- validation of the three day FAW course. The student must supply a valid in-date certificate to complete this course.

Included in the price of this course: workbook; first aid manual; face shield and a signed certificate valid for three years and recognised within the UK.

Course Schedule

 

Day One:

• Introduction

• First aid, initial approach and unconsciousness

• Heart attack and resuscitation

• Asphyxia, choking and asthma

• Bleeding, shock and wounds

• Common medical conditions

• Casualty assesment and practical

 

Day Two:

• Fractures, dislocations, sprains and strains

• Spinal and head injuries

• Eye injuries, burns, scalds and poisons

• MCQ and practical revision

• Final practical assessments

• AED

• Course debrief, results and closure.
