TERMS & CONDITIONS 

 

ON-SITE TRAINING

 

  • All certificates will be sent electronically unless agreed with HCTS prior to the course commencement. There is no extra charge for paper certificates however these will only be issued on the day of training itself. If paper certificates are required after the course has taken place there is a charge of £2.50 + VAT and postage per certificate. If paper certificates are issued there will be a charge of £5 + VAT and postage for a replacement certificate. There is no charge for electronic replacements.

  • Mileage charged at 40 pence per mile.

  • Access to suitable parking at the venue is required for the instructor. if this is not available, we need to be informed at least fourteen days prior to the start date, since, dependent on the amount of equipment needed, the course may be cancelled if an alternative cannot be found.

  • If parking meters/pay car park or congestion charge is applicable, the client will be required to provide payment at the time or if agreed added to the invoice.

  • The instructor will provide all equipment required to teach the course, unless otherwise agreed. The client's training/assessment venue must be suitable for the purpose (i.e. no interruptions, an appropriate environment, sufficient space etc).

  • Our instructors are under instruction to terminate training where they believe their personal safety or health & safety may be at risk.

  • We will prosecute persons who threaten our instructors or assessors.

 

PAYMENT

 

  • An Invoice will be issued upon confirmation of your booking, and the balance is to be paid within 30 days from the date of the invoice or before the course start date, whichever is soonest.

  • In the event of fewer students attending a course than had been booked, the client will still be charged the class size rate they originally requested (unless previously agreed in writing).

  • All cheques must be made payable to 'Health Care Training Services' and not to individuals.

  • We reserve the right (under Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act, 1988) to charge the customer on any amounts overdue at the rate of 8% per month, compounding monthly.

  • CERTIFICATES ARE NOT ISSUED UNTIL INVOICES ARE PAID.

 

CANCELLATION

 

  • If the client cancels a course, they will be liable to a cancellation fee. This will be charged on the following sliding scale: 

    • 25% of invoice fee if cancelled within four weeks of start date (28 days), including Saturday and Sunday, in writing

    • 50% of invoice fee if cancelled within two weeks of start date (14 days), including Saturday and Sunday, in writing

    • 100% of invoice fee if cancelled within one week of start date (7 days), including Saturday and Sunday, in writing

  • Health Care Training Services reserves the right to alter, amend, change or adjust any course profile as it deems appropriate without notice.
